News for Foreign Tourists in English, German, Italian, Spanish and Czech
Croatian Radio 2 (HR2) is broadcasting news and information for visitors to Croatia in their native languages: As of June 29 until September 2 we are broadcasting News for Foreign Tourists in English, German, Italian, Spanish and Czech with some of the broadcasts prepared and read by native speakers of the Voice of Croatia program, while others are re-broadcast from foreign radio stations. Traffic information that the Croatian Auto Club (HAK) broadcasts on Croatian Radio 2 has been on air in English since June 15 and will continue until September 2, while during the weekends there will also be an Italian broadcast.
Here is a detailed timetable of the news broadcasts in foreign languages broadcast by Croatian Radio 2:
English (Voice of Croatia): 8:00, 12:00 (every day)
English (Absolute Radio): 18:00 (Mon-Fri)
English (Voice of Croatia): 18:00 (Sat, Sun)
German (Bayern 3): 9:00, 15:00, 19:00 (every day)
German (Ö 3): 10:00, 16:00, 17:00 (Sundays only)
German (Voice of Croatia): 20:00 (every day)
Italian (Rai Uno): 11:00, 17:00 (Monday-Saturday)
Czech (Radio Žurnal): 13:00, 21:00 (every day)
Spanish (Glas Hrvatske): 14:00 (every day)
The Croatian Auto Club traffic report is broadcast after each news bulletin in Croatian (every hour on the half hour) and the program is interrupted each time there is breaking news on the roads.
